Mother's Day-Part 1

For Mother's day both our families got together after church to ride The Loop Trail – (this is an eleven mile paved loop around the Columbia River in Wenatchee).
We unloaded all the bikes and 9 of us set off on the trail. We couldn't have asked for a better spring day to be outside.

A highlight of this afternoon was seeing my grandma on her bike. We rented her a recumbent bike and she kept up with us and road the entire loop. Way to go Grandma!

Her reaction was priceless. She thought that she was going to have to walk for a bit and then just hangout until we were done. Jessie road the bike out from behind the garage and she just yelled with excitement.

After returning we had a BBQ and Zach did a great job at the grill. Paige and Monte were able to join us at this point and we had a nice lunch on the deck in the backyard.

Biking with the family sounds like a blast and a perfect way to spend Mother's day. Do you guys go biking often?

I like this idea! If my family were to do it we would have 25 of us with 2 babies still in the oven! I think it would be a hoot!
Cannot wait for part II...
Blessings!
