When my friend Kelley called me at the end of August and asked if I wanted to run in a marathon with her, I think my reaction was the same as anyone else's...WHAT?! But she then went on to explain that for her birthday she wanted 5 other friends to run in a relay marathon in Leavenworth on Oct. 3rd.
Ok - I don't know how she talked me into this...but it's less than a week away and I'm starting to panic a bit. Hopefully I make it to my handoff spot. I tried running the 4 miles this morning and it went ok; I'll keep working at it and let you know how this weekend goes. Oh and did I tell you that Kelley is making me run the "hilly" section? Wish us 6 girls good luck!
